No matter how many layers of paint you painstakingly apply a base can add that extra pizzazz you are missing.

These days there is everything from simply painting your base a particular color, using materials on your bases, sculpting your own bases or buying pre-sculpted resin bases.
I have tried all of these methods and of them all the only I do not like or encourage is simply painting the bases a color.
